Question by Maisha: WEP is hackable? Would my Antivirus prevent this? Please help.?
My wifi is WEP but recently I found out that it can be hacked under 60 seconds? Is that true? My password is pretty strong and my internet provider gave us a wifi router with WEP for it. I know WPA is better but I’m under contract with this internet provider for some time and I have to keep the WEP. If a person does get into my internet, what will they be able to do? Will they be able to get into my laptop? Will any worms or viruses on their computer come to mine too? Someone told me that the only thing they can do is use my internet, but if they have a worm on their laptop and I get it, then would an antivirus protect against that? If I got Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 will I be protected from this threat?
Also, my Blackberry is connected to my WiFi, so if it gets a virus (is that possible) will that virus come into my laptop? Because, you know how it works under one internet connection or something?
Haha, I’m lost. Help pleassee.

Question by helpme1: Can someone please help me with this problem?
I was answering a question not 5 min ago and suddenly my toolbar -which was at the bottom of my screen is now at the top. I have absolutely no idea what I did, and I have no idea how to put it back. Just to be sure I’m using the right terminology here, the tool bar is the one that has
start>Yahoo answers>Norton Antivirus > 2 little computers that show my internet connection-my e-mail icon and the time.
How do I make it go back to the bottom of the screen? i’m not very computer savy

Answer by danuitti
Hold the MOUSE down on the blank GRAY part of the Taskbar (what you called toolbar) and PULL it back down.
Your taskbar also has the CLOCK and START button.
All of these toolbars and the taskbar move. I have no idea. It’s a part of the evil Microsoft plot to make you look silly.

Note: If you are blocked from downloading files, you may have to download them on another computer and run them from a flash drive. If you cannot update Malwarebytes, open Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > uncheck everything except “Automatically detect settings”, and try again.
Go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill , download and run rkill. After it completes, go to http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download Malwarebytes, install, update, and run a full scan. Remove any items it finds. If prompted to reboot, do so.
Confirm that the infection is removed and your computer works. Then go into system protection (Start > Right click Computer > Properties > System Protection), select any hard drives with protection on, press Configure…, and turn off system protection. Then reenable it (deletes all restore points).
If these steps fail to remove the infection, you should ask a friend or colleague who knows more and ask them to do it. If all else fails, reinstall Windows.
These instructions are tailored to Windows 7; if you use a different OS, then they may differ slightly. Use common sense.

Answer by Jan S
You might have spyware, but I do not think, that you have a virus.
NOD32 anti virus is one of the best there is and when it did not find any viruses, you can be asured for 99 %, that you do not have viruses.
You should do a scan with Malwarebytes antispyware.
You can download it here

Control panel, click add remove programs, scroll list, click on the program, click remove. Then Install an excellent Internet Security like Norton Internet Security 2009. You do not want to connect to the Internet with out a security software installed.

Answer by Steve F
Antivirus 2008 is pretty nasty, I would recommend going through a three step of guides. Just follow them and your problems will be over:
For Desktop fix:
http://ultcomprepair.blogspot.com/2008/07/1-click-start-button-2-click-run.html
1) Follow the specific removal guide for Antivirus XP:
http://ultcomprepair.blogspot.com/2008/07/xp-antivirus-20082009.html
2) Follow the generic virus removal guide. It’s a long guide but it’s very good at clearing out all traces of viruses from the computer:
http://ultcomprepair.blogspot.com/2008/07/generic-virus-removal-guide.html
3) If things aren’t back to normal (Start Menu missing buttons etc), then run the following fixes to get the system back to the way it should look:
http://ultcomprepair.blogspot.com/2008/07/generic-virus-related-issues.html
Good luck, this will take care of your virus problem no question.
