If the person is not computer savay, and don’t know how to cover their tracks very well, you can check the internet history in the address bar. Check the google search engine history to by clicking on the down arrow in the google toolbar. You can check for recent cookies, recently visited sites or recently downloaded files in the temporary internet folder, or temp. downloads folder. Or you can just set up a webcamera and spy on them.

Question by LoveChrist1st: I want to know how to access the internet because it is blocked by security..?
I am having trouble with this security called cyberpatrol my father added to my computer but I’m sick of it!!!!! It limits the computer use (time) and also blocks download sites!!!!! Can you how i can go past the security??????

Answer by Love
If you live at home and your dad pays all the bills, then he has the right to put whatever he wants on the computer. He doesn’t want to be arrested when illegal downloads are made from his internet connection. The whole point of the program is you cannot get past it without a password. Only option is to restore the whole computer to the way it was before the program was installed.

When i Google something it comes up fine but when i click on the link it directs me to these weird pages I have to try about 10 times for it to work. What the bliff is up with that?? Also I recently got this antivirus 2011 which was a scam but i got rid of it with Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware.. =P

Answer by panthrosbulge
Sounds like your computer is still infected. Install Microsoft Security Essentials from Microsofts site . Reboot Windows into safe mode (hit F8 before the Windows logo comes up) and run a scan. Also, update Malwarebytes and run that scan while in safe mode as well.

If it is still having problems, it may take some deeper investigation. Another thing you can do is go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. There is a hosts.ini file there. Make sure there are no entries at the bottom.

I had 2 computers with Norton Antivirus and both got nuked by viruses. I’ve had McAfee on my last 3 computers with absolutely no problems. As far as I’m concerned, McAfee is the best.

Obviously, if you’re cruising shady sites and things like that, a virus is pretty much inevitable, you’re pretty much asking for it. But if you’re just an average web surfer, McAfee should be perfect.

Internet Explorer doesnt allow me to access web pages?

Question by Petros Savvas: Internet Explorer doesnt allow me to access web pages?
My 30 day kasparov liscence expired and after uninstalling it all web pages features, like typing boxes like this one do not work, clicking any links do not work and anything on a web page that has a next 1…2…etc takes me back to the top of the same page. I have disabled my firewall entirely and enabled it entirely but the results are the same, I installed Internet Explorer 7, results are the same. Firefox browser works perfectly but I cannot do a search in my computer either, the dog comes out but there are no boxes allowing me to type a search in (this is in Windows Explorer)

All my windows updates are done via ms web page, I use Ewido anti spyware and Spyware Terminator, Clam anti virus and AVG free antivirus all running at the same time, when disabling each of the other the results are the same, when disabling all the results are still the same. Please help!

How do I put the speed of my internet to what it was originally?

Question by Andrew: How do I put the speed of my internet to what it was originally?
When i first got my laptop it was running top speed. Fast loading times, fast everything. Now it’s very VERY slow. My internet is top brand and i have Norton Antivirus so it should be fine. Sometimes it’s not just my internet. Opening other programs in my computer like Microsoft or just Paint takes a very long time. I have tried many different things to get it faster: Disk Defragmenter, Disk Cleanup, restore original settings in Internet Explorer, Reducing my Visual Appearance for better performance, and expanding my bandwidth (which was a disaster). I share a STRONG internet connection with three other computers in my home. So, it’s not my internet connection that’s the problem. I think it has to do with something with my memory on my computer, but i really don’t know. Also, recovery is out of the option. i’m afraid that if i do that i will loose all my important programs like Microsoft Office or My driver to my Printer, which i have no clue how to re-establish. I really truly need help!

I don’t have Norton. Does it have spyware detection automatically in the scans it does? If not, I would look for a good spyware detection program and try that.
