no one wins when hackers are involved. we are forced to be very careful, distrust every web site and pay to have antivirus protection.

personally i have very good expereinces with the norton products, internet security or antivirus. the 2009 version is much easier to install and runs faster.

i have been in a few situations where i was browsing a programming site (honestly hehe) and nav popped up a message that an evil program was trying to install itself, and the program was blocked.

As far as my sysadmin friends tell – they are both evil….

So whatever wins – we will have one big bad less :)

For me it’s Norton Internet Security 2009. It does not slow down my web surfing. Kaspersky slows down web page loading. Adds as much as 60% to the time. Norton runs very light using only 7 to 8 mb or ram. Norton firewall is very good has a huge whitelist and does not have to pop up with allow or deny questions. I really like the Identity safe features with saving my log ons and credit card info for buying stuff online. Norton has a higher detection rate for malware. But I liked Kaspersky to very strong program. I just didn’t like the slower loading of web pages and did not like the anti-banner that would block some web pages. I really like its anti-spyware feature which has a higher detection rate that most anti-spyware programs. I also like that Kaspersky allows you to tweak just about every setting. Two very good programs. The best two Internet Security Suites out there.
