Hello Question/Answer friends I need help. I have a used computer with Windows XP Professional and can not?

Install anti-virus program nor will it let me download windows-updates, There are 4 Trojan Horses that I am not able to get rid of as all my spyware programs are being block by these trojans, I were able to run spybot search and destroy but once it ran a scan and half way through the scanning (showing the 4 trojans) it went off the screen not being seen again no matter what I tried therefore I didn’t get a chance to fix the problems (get rid of the trojans) the computer is runing super slow. “Help” I do know what to do to get rid of the trojans but the programs are being cut off half way through scanning. I am running Malwarebytes, Spybot search and destroy. I will read all answers. Thanks.

What is wrong with my computer? I cannot find a fix?

My internet is going super slow lately, taking about 30-60 seconds to load each page. I have broadband.

Programs are freezing or not executing. I cannot run my virus scanners period.

I got on Safe Mode and my scanners worked. I then scanned my computer with “SUPER Anti-Spyware” and “Malwarebytes”. SAS found a couple power regulators which got easily removed and MBAM found a Rogue virus which got removed. I thought that MBAM had nailed my problem but no, it still persists. Nothing has changed.

DO NOT suggest registry cleaners. I’ve been told by professionals over the phone that they corrupt your computer and only make things worse in the end.

Will reinstalling windows fix this? Or will I have to get my hard drive cleared if I did that?

I had been having problems with my computer freezing up while on the internet really bad the last month. I thought maybe it was just the new Firefox’s incompatibility but I’m starting to think that it was a virus that could bypass my virus scanners (Which is a first for me). No matter which browser I used it always froze.

The most convenient fix for me right now would be a virus scanner that could find this f***ing thing and remove it.
@Jobooboy

Ya I forgot to mention that I tried a System Restore for three different days and all failed.
@David N.

I am using the Ad-Aware which came with my computer.

My virus scanners are MBAM and SAS which aren’t real time, so they won’t clash with AdA
“but it will require a complete format”

What do you mean by complete format?

If I reinstall windows, won’t the virus still be on my Harddrive if I don’t clear it? and won’t my Harddrive have occupied space?

Ya it sounds like I need to wipe it… :’(
@Likner K

Hmmm… RAM going bad due to overheating. Not good. See my CPU fan went out and before I had it replaced my computer crashed several times overheating. This may have ruined my RAM. But I haven’t had the BSOD so I don’t think that’s it.

I defragged my computer last week. When it freezes my Keyboard doesn’t work but my mouse moves. However my mouse doesn’t click so I need to shut it down manually every time. It’s weird tho, my computer only freezes when I am on the internet.
Dave Comp. Cleaner.

I did what you said and it detected a horrid looking Trojan on my computer. I deleted it and my computers symptoms seem to be gone for now. I’ll choose yours as best answer if it remains this way for the rest of the night.

If it does I want to hug you! (Not in a gay way ofc. lol)
Hmmm… well everything is good now except my internet is still going ultra slow again…

Maybe that is my RAM going bad… I sure hope not.

Do you think my computer is hacked by hackers?

The question might sound like very general and obviously ignorant of what a hacker are capable of intruding on your computer but I want to know why my computer would lost the wifi signal indicated in the lower right corner of the screen but still can surf the net and sometimes it would lead to page load error then would go back to normal .
It is so irritating.Sometimes my computer would be so slow and sometimes when i type
a link in the address bar,it would redirect me to other websites. If your answer is
yes,my computer is hacked how would you avoid this. Please be specific on your answer.Im using mozilla firefox or internet explorer when browsing and windows xp professional as my operating system.Im using a super anti spyware program that I downloaded in the web and avast.Hope those infos help. Like when I started to post this question,I had a hard time posting this question because I always get the page load error or a confirm message occurs if ill resend it or ill cancel this pending order.

Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attack?

Ugh! How can I get rid of this popup?

I’ve run complete scans through Norton, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Super Anti-Spyware. I’ve also tried removing it with SmitfraudFix. All scans say that my computer is fine, but I can’t get rid of this thing.

There are no programs I don’t recognize in my Add/Remove programs list. I’ve spent 3 days trying different solutions and none are helping =[
I can’t afford a professional right now.
Please help!!!

Is my P.C. all safe now with all these Softwares?

I have the following:

MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS
IOBIT 360 PROFESSIONAL
ADVANCED SYSTEM CARE PRO
MALWAREBYTES PRO
SUPER ANTI SPYWARE LIFE TIME PRO

I also like to block all PO** sites etc. so i have
K9 WEB PROTECT

Keep getting redirected when click on search result w/ Google, Yahoo etc.?

Yea i kno its malware or spyware and i keep getting hijacked, ive done plenty of scans with numerous spyware/malware programs such as: spyware search and destroy, super-anti spyware, malwarebytes, and currently use Avast professional and scanned with the updated version of windows defender none of which seem to find the problem and its really fucking annoying, thinkin bout tossin this shitty cpu and getting some alienware but dont have any cash right now but if you can help it would be hugely appreciated.
in my question above i note that i have previously scanned with said programs
and already have most of them installed cant ppl read? the issue is still present, perhaps it is in the registry? also ive scanned with uniblue-spyeraser nothing there either…

Just re-installed Windows XP Professional. Is this a good security set-up? Need more or less? Suggestions?

COMODO Firewall
COMODO BOClean
AVG Anti-Virus
Super Anti-Spyware

Trying to stay free obviously. Seems people suggested ThreatFire and more spyware/malware detectors or scanners. Thoughts?

I just installed Norton anti-malware on my laptop by accident and now it is messing up! How do I fix this?

Now my laptop won’t let me run system restore and when I try to double-click McAfee Security Center nothing happens.

I tried to install a new anti-spyware and anti-malware programs (such as Super Anti-Spyware and AVG) on my laptop but all it will let me do is download it, and not run it when I click on it!

Will I have to take my laptop to a professional and pay them to fix it? Someone help me PLEASE!!!!!

Why is my Cursor acting up?

Okay, this is my problem. I have experienced this 2 or 3 times since I’ve had my computer. And very spread out Increments not within the same month or even within 3 months. This is what happens, and what it looks like: When I’m playing Sims, my cursor goes from its normal self to what looks like 8 lines Vertically. So I minimize Sims, and the cursor Disappears. But about 5 Min later, it’s back, but still as the 8 Vertical Lines. And it stays like this for I don’t know how long, for about 10 minutes now, it has been the Lines. And it still disappears on certain parts of the page. But from previous experience it goes back to normal after a while. What could this be? How can I fix this? I have System Suite Security 9 Professional, Super Anti-Spyware, and Avira Security Softwares. And they never find anything. Is there a file that could be infected? If so, what may be the name of the Infected File, and Infection Name? Thanks in Advance. 10pts for best answer.
As soon as I went over the X Button to Exit out of the page, I got a Black Block where my cursor is Supposed to be, then as soon as I exited out, it went back to normal. My Security Software then Blocked, my Google Chrome File in one of my Drivers File, and then blocked and svchost or something like that. It counted it as a Miscellaneous Threat should I delete or Restore that file, I don’t want to mess my computer up. Thanks again.

Did I delete something I wasn’t supposed to?

OK so I downloaded Super Anti-Spyware Professional Trial Version.I did a scan and it detected 55 cookies and One Trojan.I selected delete all and it restarts the computer. Then I can’t get on my 32 bit internet, only 64 bit.(64 bit is the same just without Youtube, that sucks right?)

2 questions.

Did I delete something I wasn’t supposed to?
What do I do now?

Another note-Been having a lot of trouble with the internet the last 2 weeks.Help is greatly appreciated.Thanks.
