I have an icon in my task bar that looks like a system alert. A balloon pops up and says I have spyware on my machine. If I click the balloon it opens IE 7.0 and opens a web site selling spy removal software called Spy Dawn. I have run Spy Begone! but can’t remove or find the origin of the program / spyware / malware. Can anyone help?

I choose search my computer for pictures, it opens up my pictures folder and then it all closes up (Mozilla web browser, etc) could it be a virus? I have scanned the computer using HIJACKTHIS, SPYWARE BEGONE, AND AVG 8 FREE VERSION, but nothing comes up. So at this point, I am not sure which way to go, but would truly appreciate any suggestions, thanks in advance.

I have ThreatFire, Spyware Begone, S&D, Windows Defender, I have also had AVG and Avast (no longer have them). I didn’t really care for Avast either. But what I’m trying to get at is out of everything I have that’s supposedly “protecting” my computer, I still somehow manage to get trojan horses and other spyware and adware on my computer! When I scan my computer with all the programs, they all tell me different things like I have 41 infections and like almost 15 are trojan horses and all kinds of spyware and adware and some things tell me that there is nothing wrong at all! So I want to delete everything and possibly get one thing that does it all and that is either free or kinda cheap…. lol Can anyone help?!

I have a emachine computer xp. the other day the internet stopped working Google would show up as a broken link, I would type in a website address and it would redirect to something completely different. I called my internet provider and they said it was nothing wrong with the connection that it sounded like spyware or adware. So i download spyware begone and it cleaned a total of 1 spyware thing off. The computer started working a bit better but still have some issues with navgation. I downloaded a registry cleaner, cleaned the registry but still something is wrong in the address bar a website that blockes the pages comes up (web-safe-clean/warning)….PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY

whenever i turn on my computer after the “welcome” sign it takes long for the iconz to load and then in my background deres a blue screen that sais in a yellow box “warning ! spyware detected on your computer!” and den it tells me 2 get a antivirus or spyware remover…and den sum bugz pop “eating” away my screen up nd crawl all over my screen den dey disappear. i tried cleaning my computer with “Spyware Begone” but it dusntt seem to work, waht do i do?!?!?! i need ur help peoplez!!!!

ummm i got up this morning and went on the computure and the desktop was blank but the icons where still there.

i tryed doing desktop right click > propoties > desktop but it woundnt let me select any background..

i scanned my computure with 3 virus scans they found nothing… i used AVG free addition, spyware begone and spy hunter 3.
then i used spyware begone on safe mode using the smart scan and it found spyware downloader i deleted that still did’nt fix. i tried doing the Registry edit and still did’nt fix. HELP!!!!

help! everytime i switch my moniter on it always says it found a trojan horse, i delete it permenatly, shut down my pc because it goes so slow afterwards, then, it works fine, then the next time i go on again, it says its found one again, and again and again. I scanned the pavillion, recovery, and local disk, deleted everything, scanned my computer for spyware, removed them, restarted my pc, and it still popped up, i dont see what the problem is, i have firewall, avast! anti virus, spyware begone. Help would be apprechiated, thanks x

and now i just downloaded the crap cleaner

so im browsing through some 360 forums when ” boom ” my computer screen just starts poping out all kinds of anti spyware softwares and i also get this warning icon in my taskbar notifying me that my computer got infected. i tried using spyware begone and superantispyware in normal and safe mode…no result. everytime i restart my pc same problem unless i disconnect from the internet. now the question: is there any good software that has worked for somebody with the similar problem?
