Which antivirus is BETTER?

Which one slows your computer down more??
From my experience, Norton Sucks and slows down the computer definitely??

and are both of them Free forever.. or at least for a couple of years

So; I recently downloaded AVG because my boyfriend and his friends highly recommended it(since Norton is a piece of junk)

And lately AVG has been turning my computer into hell.
I have to disable it to play any MMORPG’s and I think it might have blocked my xbox connection.

It was working perfectly till a few days ago and I installed AVG like…well over 3 weeks ago.

So. I will gladly disable AVG to go online on my xbox.

Does anyone know how/where I can unblock my xbox on avg and keep it that way and possibly find the connection.

The xbox deleted my I.P Address and everything so I probably have to re-enter all that information(even though I don’t know half of it)

So help?

Currently I have Norton Antivirus subscription (on 2 computers) when I bought my new laptop. Its running out, and I was going to cancel it and use AVG free which I previously used on my old laptop. Should I stick with the Norton for another 70+ dollars, or is using the AVG free the same amount of protection? If not, which antivirus would you suggest. (No spam pls)

Well I have AVG 8.0 and Norton a friend of mind told me to un-install Norton because its bad and doesn’t really get the job done.

So please help me with this decision….

my norton subscription is recently expired, and am having trbl renewing, also having trbl with recently renewed $$$ spysweeper and windowwasher …..am thinking of poppin-a-cap in sumbuddies a– …help a lady PLZ?

have norton now, have had avg in the past, how is it that even with these people recommend running Superantispyware? Shouldn’t norton or avg do a good job on their own with keeping stuff off computer?
Is Superantispyware safe to use?

Hello all,
I was told by someone who works on computers that AVG the free edition is just as good as Norton Anti Virus if not better. I have been using it for years and have never had a problem.

I had an AVG trial ver 7.1
I had it for arround 6months. It will expire on 15 Jan 2007.
Requiring me to upgrade to AVG 7.5 that cost $$

So I uninstalled the AVG and purchased NAV 2006. Thought that it s the most popular “most trusted”
It run well, but my system seem to start slower…???
1.5-2 min slower (I am runing on AMD Athlon 1.5 Ghz, 512 mb memory)

Then I ran the full system scan for the 1st time, it ran about 40-60% slower.. compared to my older AVG.
Other thing NAV CAN”T resume scanning after it is stopped

I had NAV 2005 before, it ran out of lisence in 06 so I tried the AVG 7.1 free.
The NAV 2005 seem to perform the at same level with 2006 (only new user interface, that r more friendly, techy and fancy) ??? Are there any improvement really from 05 to 06 ?

Now I wish to return the product, but I had activated it already…
So is it really AVG is better than Norton now..
I need the detailed comparison work..
Or what is the best AV so far..
