Answer by Snipe Ooh. That’s a toughie. You know, BOTH are actually REALLY great scanners. KAV might be a TEENSY bit better but I love these two. They have the best detection & removal rates. If (for some reason, like you don’t want to pay or they don’t work well with your system)…Avira offers a free version which is also amazing!

I have searched for antivirus programs and narrowed it down to these two for what i want to do. Which do you think is best? I dont run too many virus risks on my computer besides having limewire (which i am careful in using). any advice?

Answer by cbh_chess Kaspersky, it has slightly higher detection rates and a lot less false positives. Memory usage is around the same, that goes for startup too.
