Question by anonymous: AVG VS Norton? Which is better?
Ignoring the fact that AVG is free and Norton being a resourse hog, which antivirus/antispyware is better? AVG or Norton? Why? How do you know that AVG/Norton works?

I don’t want to get AVG just because it is free. I want something that works.

I have used both, Norton was the program I used to use and now I use AVG. I’ve never had a big problem with virus or spyware, so AVG has been working just fine and for me, that used along with a good spyware program like spybot and I’m doing just fine. So for me that basicly work the same, but AVG works a tad bit better, but you already covered Norton main flaw in your question.
