I need a GOOD anti virus FAST! Please dont sugest AVG because I dont trust that thing. I am buying one and I dont know what to buy. I know Norton sucks and I am trying Bit Defender right now but I dont really like it. What WORKS FOR YOU?

I would say AVG, I don’t know why you have trust issues with it. It updates every day and it caught viruses that Norton and McAfee missed in the virus scan. And dollar for dollar you can’t beat it.

I currently have McAfee and I absolutely hate it. It’s time to renew, so I’m going to get something different. I’ve read lots of good stuff on here about AVG, but I was also looking at Norton. Which do you all prefer? I’m pretty stupid about computers, so ease of use is definitely important. If you recommend AVG, is the free trial version all you need, or do you suggest purchasing the complete version? Thanks for any advice!!!

avg is good then there is few others, but norton anit the best

I’ve used Norton for 2-3 yrs, my computer’s slow & maybe because of Norton?I’ve read Qs & As on Y!A about these antivirus softwares/downloads & so many people say different things as to what’s better…so what IS better?I bought Windows Live 1 care from Costco when on sale for total…which is cheap compared to Norton@+ in the past, but I have heard about AVG and McAfee and NOD32 and Kaspersky and a few others from other Y!A, but I’m not sure which to use when it expires soon.I don’t want to mess my computer up trying to install/uninstall a few trying to see what’s better.
I want my computer to work better, not slower w/it on there&protect my computer against viruses&spyware junk,so what should I do?
A-Start using the windows live 1 care when norton expires & see how it goes
B-Return the windows live 1 care & just go w/my normal norton & buy it
C-start using windows live1care & also use something called spybot as well
D-Use this instead: Any other ideas or solutions!

Theres plenty of free programs out there to keep your computer clean. Avast and Avg for antivirus and then Spybot adaware and Avg Antispyware for any spyware issues.
Norton or live care are not some of the best of programs out there, especially norton is a killer on your system resources.
