What’s your question? We can’t tell you what to keep. You must keep and use what works best for you. I’ve had Avast for nearly 5 years and wouldn’t be without it. But, some people don’t like all the choices they think Avast gives you. They are both very good.

No antivirus will protect your computer 100% 100% of the time. For this reason I opt to go with the free Avast Antivirus and Malwarebyte’s AntiMalware in combination to keep my systems clean. There’s no sense in paying X amount of dollars for this when you can get the same protection free.

I have Trend Micro P-Cillin and Avast! (I just downloaded Avast earlier today). I would like to remove Trend Micro (Vs. 12). If you know how to remove Trend Micro w/o deleting files that are currently in that quarantine. And, if there was to be a better FREE Anti-Virus Programs… etc. Would you recommend? I’d like to stay away from AVG, Avast!, and Trend Micro (I know, it’s paid for).
And, I’m pretty good w/ computers, just not so good about “cleaning” it!
I found the Quarantine button—> but, I received the “PCCMAIN.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.” (It pops up after I click “Quarantine”).

I have Trend Micro P-Cillin – which one ? google Trend Micro P-Cillin 2??? removal.
If you know how to remove Trend Micro w/o deleting files that are currently in that quarantine – if you delete Trend Micro this will delete those that are currently in that quarantine, if you go to Trend Micro quarantine & click on whats there & click restore, this will remove them from quarantine & put them back on your PC.
I’d like to stay away from AVG – Good.
Best free AV’s are Free Avast or Free Avira.

some of my friends recommend me getting Avast Home Edition free…
i’m having some second thoughts because i’m a longtime user of AVG…

Neither, all free antivirus software sucks.
