this this called ‘antispyware’ downloaded its self on my dell lap top, and i do NOT know how to DELETE it!!! Every time i log into my computer it pops up to run a scan and no matter what i have to do it because i cannot exit! and the soft ware will NOT let me go on the internet! So PLEASE someone help it, i would REALLY appreciate it!! Thanks!

You have a malware virus. A couple good programs to try would be Malwarebyte’s Anti Malware or SpyBot Search & Destory. You may also want to check out techsupportforum.com or bleepingcomputer.com. Both are forums that offer free help to disinfect your machine from trained specialists.

Question by 2011: If you have G-DATA antivirus, do you really need stand alone antispyware too?
is the antspyware an unnecessary addition to G-DATA (which itself has the highest detection rate and a double engine of avast and bitdefender combined) ? the antispyware would be an overkill, right?

So should i just remove the antispyware? it will free the computer of extra resources, memory and CPU usage

I would rather have overkill than run naked? Just max out the Ram. I have malwarebytes, but only run it if I suspect a trojan, usually Norton’s is good enough, used it since 2002 and have no reason to change. Haven’t any faith in freebies, but better than nothing.

The support team are unavalible(via Phone)and after reading there recourse it looks like the only way I can avoid there POP ups(every minute I scrool anywhere)is to uninstall that program.Deleteing anti Spyware in one hour it just go`s away temporary..Why?..Daryl

What you describe sounds like what is typically called a ‘nag screen’. You get these when you are on a trial subscription of something you decided to try and then as it approaches time for the trial to expire or if it has already expired you get ‘nag screens’ to remind you of the expiration. You should have expected that you would get these when you decided to accept the free trial offer and now to continue, you might have to pay or if not, you must uninstall the product to get it to stop ‘nagging’ you.

I am a beta tester for just about every antispyware and antivirus in my spare time.

Recommend that you install what I use Superantispyware. This program is well known to find what all others miss and unable to delete. http://www.superantispyware.

Myself I did not like Comodo firewall, as it failed to block the majority of rogue packets that were scanning my PC.

I have used Zone Alarm Free for home persoanl use for then plus years and never has one rogue packet entered by PC, plus I test once per week with a leak test software from a former engineer with MIcrosoft and is 100% leak proof.
