Avast free edition I like and used for past two years – very unobtrusive.
Used AVG for the previous 6 years. Would not consider anything you have to pay for – free is good and adequate.

    The reason why I love AVG is because it doesn’t consume much of your system resources and it simple ez and to the point!

    Norton 360 will take logs of hard drive & RAM away from your system.
